Item Description
Three 8.5x11" sheets w/binder punches/reinforcements have complete set of six single-sided 6.5x9" page proofs attached front/back. Proofs were for "Congo Bill - The Jungle Film" story written by Mort Weisinger w/art by Fred Ray that was published in "Action Comics" Vol. 1 #42 in Nov. 1941. First sheet has "Action Comics - Nov, 1941" written in ink at upper left and "Written By Mort Weisinger" at top in pencil. Proof pages were attached to sheets w/glue, resulting in dark staining at corners and centers of each proof page. Paper sheets have pulls at binder holes, w/one having .5x1.5" piece missing, partially removing corner of proof page. VG overall. Originally from the Fred Ray Estate. Dan Makara Collection.
