Item Description
"The Flintstones" was originally broadcast from Sept. 30, 1960, until April 1, 1966, as the first animated series to hold a primetime slot and was the most financially successful and longest-running network animated franchise for three decades. Offered here is an extraordinary piece from the first season of "The Flintstones" - hand-inked/painted animation cel from the opening sequence of the show. Both are on 9-7/811.5" acetate sheet has approx. 5.5x6.5" image area featuring full body image of Fred Flintstone carrying bag of groceries. This is from the sponsor variant opening that was used on some episodes (and ended w/an Alka-Seltzer ad). Right edge has slightest trim but cel has full paint and displays NM. Historic animation art.
