Item Description
3.25x4.75" Bristol board (w/cardstock backing) has gouache over graphite original art for card #30B in Topps' 1966 "Batman" trading card set (Blue Bat). Pencil original art by Bob Powell has been painted over by Norman Saunders, who provided art for a few Topps card sets, most notably their collaboration on the iconic "Mars Attacks" cards in 1962. Card is titled "Jostled By The Joker" and features incredibly detailed scene showing Batman being scooped up by excavator operated by The Joker. Backing on back of board has three piece of cloth/paper tape; two at top; one at bottom. Board was flexed at one point, resulting in crazing to paint. Art o/w remains clean and Fine overall. Wonderful example of published Topps card art.
