8x10" spiral bound mechanical book w/10 pages. Random House, ©1942 WDP. Special features include wheels to turn, segments to lift and die-cut slides to move in/out as part of the story in which the Big Bad Wolf steals Donald Duck's treasure chest which contains something "To Help Us Win The War." The Wolf is depicted wearing his standard hat but w/swastika band. The Little Wolves wear hats w/Japanese and Italian symbols representing the Axis powers. Inside back cover designed w/die-cut image of Donald opening chest w/generic Defense Savings Bonds stamp album. Front cover notes "This Book Was Prepared At The Suggestion Of The U.S. Treasury Department." Book has some corner tip wear to cover and creases to tabs. Some scattered age spotting to pages and trace oxidation soiling from binding. Still Fine overall. Classic World War II era book. Interesting concept and design to encourage purchase of US Saving Stamps to help finance the war. Comes w/8x10"  war bond certificate issued by "United States Treasury War Finance Committee" w/printing date of 1944. Margins feature 22 portraits including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Seven Dwarfs, Baby Weems, Joe Carioca and others. Certificate has original purchaser's name and date typed on provided lines. Two vertical creases and certificate is evenly aged. Fine.
