Item Description
15x20" heavy artboard features pen and ink original art by Gill Fox for page 51 of "National Comics" #36, published by Quality Comics Sept. 1943. Page features seven panels and is from "Kid Patrol And The Thing For Mars" story. Kid Patrol members Sunshine Jones, Porky, Teddy and Suzy descending into cellar w/large key, which they use to unlock door. This releases the Thing from Mars, an alien head on a mechanical body, who scares Sunshine. Top center margin has stapled stat w/comic title w/faint "Silver Printed" stamp to the right. Another staple at upper right corner. Bottom margin has penciled text. Artboard shows moderate edge/corner tip wear and has scattered dust soiling and aging. Artboard is VG/Fine overall while art remains clean and would make for nice VF display if matted and framed. Comes w/reading copy of the comic this art was published in.
