Item Description
10.5x12.5" sheet of animation paper has 5x5.5" image area depicting Judy Jetson embracing her father George Jetson as he drives her in their aerocar, just before she departs for Orbit High School. "The Jetsons" debuted Sept. 23, 1962. Art is rendered mostly in lead pencil w/portion of aerocar in red colored pencil. Hanna-Barbera originally only produced 24 episodes of "The Jetsons," and this art is from that first season's opening sequence. Art has some red pencil production notations below it and sheet is marked "J14" in pencil at lower right corner as well as being stamped "V-14." Sheet has even lt. aging and some lt. scattered handling wear w/three minor spots of faint staining to right of art. Art remains clean and displays Exc. Opening title animation drawings from the first season are considered very rare. Historic Hanna-Barbera animation art.
