Item Description
Pair of approx. 5.75x16-7/8" thin artboards w/pen and ink original art for May 31 and June 4, 1963 "Hapless Alien" daily strip storyline. Art is by Dan Barry (who had illustrated the "Flash Gordon" daily strip since 1951 and worked on the Sunday page from 1967-1990) and each strip features three panels. Printed "Hapless Alien" sequence title at top of each along w/"Week 1/Week 2" notations and dates. Story deals w/alien being stranded on Earth after being hit by a truck and fleeing from police before realizing he left his food in his ship and trying to find food. Each daily strip complete w/KFS copyright strips. Pin holes at corners and along top margin w/scattered margin production notations at left on first strip (noting text correction, w/aged strip from removal of original text), but art remains clean and Exc.
