Item Description
5-7/8x17-3/8" thin artboard w/pen and ink original art for June 2, 1961 daily strip. Art is by Dan Barry (who had illustrated the "Flash Gordon" daily strip since 1951 and worked on the Sunday page from 1967-1990) and features three panels. Printed "The Visitors" sequence title at top along w/"Week 1" notation and "6/2/61" date. Art features Flash and Lee talking about an upcoming shuttle flight and Lee's training in exobiology before The Skragg aliens burst into the shuttle's cabin, aiming ray guns at him. KFS copyright strip at right of last panel. Pin holes at top corners and top center margin w/scattered margin dust soiling, but art remains clean and Exc.
