Item Description
Pair of approx. 5.75x17-3/8" thin artboard w/pen and ink original art for March 27 and May 26, 1961 "Richest Robot" daily strip storyline. Art is by Dan Barry (who had illustrated the "Flash Gordon" daily strip since 1951 and worked on the Sunday page from 1967-1990) and features two to three panels. Printed "Richest Robot" sequence title at top along w/"Week 3/Week 11" notations and dates. First daily strip deals w/Waldo the robot smuggling Robb and Bey into crates bound for the TV satellite. Second daily strip features Robb reacting w/delight as he realizes they have just won a large amount of money, which Waldo promptly gives away to start Robot-Research Center. Robb is understandably upset, to which Flash replies there's nothing against the rules about robots competing. Flash only appears in last panel of second daily strip. Both complete w/KFS copyright strips. Pin holes at corners and top center margin w/scattered editorial notations to margins, which have some lt. dust soiling, but art remains clean and Exc.
