Item Description
14x28" frame contains artboard that has been matted to 6-1/819.75" and features four panels of pen and ink original art by "Archie" co-creator Bob Montana. Art is for the July 12, 1946 daily strip and features Betty dragging to Archie to drawing to win free trip to Camp WinnaBanana. When the winning ticket is drawn, another ticket is stuck to it, and it is decided that both ticket holders will be sent. Final panels features cliffhanger announcement. Archie appears in first panel only, along w/Betty and Jughead. Betty and Jughead appear together in second panel. Montana has signed and dated last panel. Second panel has double McClure Newspaper Syndicate paste-overs. Artboard is covered w/evenly aged screentone, but o/w art displays Exc. as matted and framed.
