Item Description
11x17 DC Comics artboard has Ethan Van Sciver's pencil and ink original art for proposed cover to "Action Comics" Annual #13, published by DC Feb. 2011. This was Van Sciver's unfinished first design for the cover that the artist then later finished. Art shows young Lex Luthor (depicted w/full head of hair) whispering into the ear of evil New God Darkseid w/the firepits of Apokolips visible in bkg. Van Sciver's published cover featured Darkseid holding Luthor up before him by his collar. Van Sciver has signed and dated art "2010" at lower right. Top margin has Van Sciver's name written twice as well as "Action Annual" title, issue number as well as "Cover" notation. Exc.
