Item Description
11.5x17" artboard has Lee Bermejo's pen and ink original art for page 80 of Brian Azzarello's "Joker" graphic novel, published by DC Comics in 2008. A unique take on the Batman mythos, this story is set outside regular continuity and narrated by one of the Joker's henchmen. Art features four panels, featuring detailed street scene in first panel, showing Killer Croc cruising along in convertible w/henchmen as a 1977 Trans Am pulls up beside them. Second panel shows Joker henchman Johnny Frost driving car w/Joker and Harley Quinn in the backseat. Harley reaches over to place a pill on Joker's tongue. Third panel shows Frost looking in his mirror, seeing gun emerge from Trans Am's window, aimed at Joker, who is unaware of the danger, instead focused on the pill balanced on the tip of his tongue. Top margin has inked "Joker Dark Knight" title, creative team names and page number. Bottom margin has signed in black ink by Bermejo. Exc.
