Item Description
9.5x12.5" inter-office "Los Angeles Times Syndicate" contains 8.5x11" typed letter dated May 11, 1979 on embossed "Los Angeles Times Syndicate" letterhead from President J. Willard Colston to charter subscriber of "Star Wars" comic strip, asking for feedback on the strip on behalf of himself and the strip's artist Russ Manning. Letter has been folded as issued. Exc. Letter comes w/proof sheets for March 12 to June 2, 1979 strips that open to 18x24", each proof sheet containing two weeks worth of daily strips. These feature great content including Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Stormtroopers, C-3PO and R2-D2, etc. Proof sheets have some lt. scattered wear and are VF to Exc. overall. Envelope shows aging and wear w/large surface paper lifts and is VG overall. Interesting grouping. Rare.
