Item Description
7x22.5" thin artboard w/India ink original art by "Terry And The Pirates" creator Milton Caniff. Art is for Nov. 6, 1942 and features four panels, w/Terry as a prisoner of Japanese soldiers, who complain about "The Yankee Boy," stating that he complains about the smell of the wood they gave him to burn. This is in reality a clever ploy by Terry to cover the pitch he is about to burn, stating "I'm The Witch Who Is Going To Boil Up Some Trouble!" to himself. Terry appears in two panels. Caniff has signed last panel. First panel has News Syndicate Co., Inc. copyright strip. Top left has inked "Terry" name at left margin and inked "It's All Odor Now" title at right. Back has Tribune Engravers Room inkstamp. Some lt. dust soiling w/single pin hole at top corners. Artboard has some aged glue staining at lower corners and is Fine/VF overall. Aside from mentioned glue staining, art is o/w clean and VF/Exc.
