Item Description
18.75x25.25" thin artboard has nine panels of India ink original art by Milton Caniff for Dec. 22, 1963 Sunday page. First panel has cut out "Steve Canyon" title stat surrounded by original art. Last panel has Publishers Newspaper Syndicate copyright strip. Page deals w/Poteet Canyon arriving back in Denver, CO and being picked up by Happy Easter at the airport. They drive back, Poteet not feeling the Christmas spirit until they arrive at Happy's ranch and she sees Steve Canyon's outline in the doorway. Art features some Denver sights, w/first panel showing the Colorado State Capitol and the seventh panel showing Denver City Hall. Title paste-over has even moderate aging. Each panel is separate, cut-out panel w/original art that has been applied to larger artboard w/margins filled in. Margins have printer registrations paste-overs and a few editorial notes along bottom. Scattered aging/dust soiling w/some scattered moisture staining along bottom margin, not affecting art. Artboard is Fine overall while art remains clean and VF, w/some scattered lt. staining at margins. Would look great framed.
