Item Description
7-1/8x25" artboard w/India ink original art by "Red Ryder" creator Fred Harman. Art is for Dec. 24, 1945 and features four panels, w/Red Ryder rescuing an unconscious Anita as Little Beaver informs him that "Baldy On Horse" is getting away. Red Ryder chases after him on his own horse before tackling him. Last panel shows Anita regaining consciousness and Little Beaver commenting that she woke up just in time. Harman has signed third panel. Last panel has NEA Service, Inc. copyright strip. Artboard has penciled "End Of The Line" title at top center and blue pencil date at upper right margin. Artboard is evenly aged and has vertical fold at center w/pinholes at corners, upper left having pull. Corner foxing w/some scattered margin staining/dust soiling. Two dealer inkstamps on back. Fine overall while art is VF. Richard Calusdian collection.
