Item Description
7x22-7/8" Strathmore artboard w/India ink original art by "Red Ryder" creator Fred Harman. Art is for Aug. 9, 1957 and features three panels, w/Red Ryder and Little Beaver settling down near Mexican fishing village to eat bananas as they let their horses rest. Little Beaver comments on never having seen a banana tree before hearing approaching Mexican bandit. Harman has signed last panel and inscribed margin below "Best Wishes From Fred 'Red Ryder' Harmon" in black ink. Middle panel has McNaught Syndicate copyright strip. Artboard has blue pencil date at upper left margin and glob of ink at lower right. Pin holes at corners w/some scattered margin wear/dust soiling. Thin strip of surface paper lift above inscription. Fine overall while art still displays Exc. Richard Calusdian collection.
