Item Description
14.75x22" artboard w/nine panels of India ink original art by Clarence D. Russell (1895-1963) for Sept. 10, 1939 Sunday page for "Pete The Tramp," which was distributed by King Features Syndicate for more than three decades. Artboard shows Pete building tall pair of stilts w/accompanying pants, making meal over campfire and then taking meal to prisoner on second story of jail, much to policeman's shock. Seventh panel has KFS copyright strip. Margins show wear as trimmed and have printer labels at top bottom corners. Margins show scattered aging and handling wear. Fine overall, but art remains clean and VF/Exc.
