Item Description
18.5x24" sheet of vellum has preliminary/prototype pencil original art for a 1950s Superman item that was developed as a premium but was never produced as such; instead being offered for sale in stores. Great design features Superman from stomach up at left squeezing "Superman Muscle Builder" grip w/"Free Superman Arm And Wrist Builder" w/circle area blank for price/premium information. Three boxes at bottom show youth w/"Develops Wrist - Develops Muscle - Develops Grip" notations (w/additional pencil notations below). Art has scattered moderate pencil rubs and lower margin has slightly uneven trim, not affecting text/art in any way. Three vertical fold lines and single horizontal fold. Fine overall. Comes w/stat complete w/text, showing some changes, including "Free Superman Muscle Builder - Develop Strong Fingers And Powerful Forearms" text as well as noting some sports that use would benefit. Art panels at bottom also show some alterations. Heavy vertical crease at center w/some scattered silvering. Fine overall. A truly special and unique Superman item.
