Item Description
"The Ruff And Reddy Show" was the first Hanna-Barbera animated show, debuting Dec. 1957 and running until April 1960 w/a total of 50 episodes. Offered here is prototype original art for late 1950s Post Raisin Bran premium. Pair of 8x10" sheets of stiff paper w/applied onionskin sheet have lead/red pencil prototype original art for cereal box back, featuring illustration marked "No 4" and "No 6." Both show rough drawing of cut-out and assembled premiums in action. Art also includes outlines of cut-out pieces and notes "Get All 6 Ruff And Reddy Cut Outs In This Series" in hand-lettered text. Lightly aged w/some minor scattered dust soiling. VF overall. Art comes w/5.75x8-5/8" and 5-3/8x5.75" prototype premiums that consist of all original art on stiff paper that has then been cut-out and assembled. Larger one is "Ruff And Reddy Battlers" while smaller framed premium is "3-D Picture Plaque." Both are Exc. Little was produced for this show, so this makes for a very unique lot for the Hanna-Barbera collector. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
