Item Description
19x35.75" frame contains double matted display of facsimile "The Gladstones" model sheet for "Fred Gladstone," Fred Flintstone's original name. Model sheet features several full body and expressive depictions of Flintstone as rendered by Ed Benedict (1912-2006) a Hanna-Barbera known for his work helping design Fred, Yogi Bear well as Ruff and Ready. Both "Gladstones" and "Gladstone" names have been crossed out w/final names added in red. Smaller hand-painted animation cel displays at right. Part of a limited edition of 400, cel has been numbered "7/400" and features image of Fred Flintstone. Cel has been hand-signed in black felt tip pen by Bill Hanna (1910-2001), Joe Barbera (1911-2006) and Benedict and has added feature of 3x4" unlined index card w/black felt tip pen head sketch of Flintstone by Hanna, who has also signed his art. The original cel display was part of the "Hidden Talents Series" released by Hanna Barbera Animation Art. NM display as framed.
