16-5/8x21" Sunday newspaper section w/12 pages, handed out as a newspaper sales incentive. Published Dec, 31, 1939, this section touted "Here Is What You Missed If You Did Not Read The Comics In The Daily Post-Dispatch Last Week" w/images from "Superman, Private Lives, Li'l Abner, Brick Bradford, Room And Board, Skippy, Blondie, Ned Brant At Carter, Jane Arden, Big Chief Wahoo, Popeye, Buck Rogers, Mandrake The Magician, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, They'll Do It Every Time, Little Miss Muffet, Henry, Grin And Bear It, Sunflower Street" and "Napoleon And Uncle Eley." Second page features nearly full page "Superman" Sunday page, listed as "By Jerry Siegel And Joe Shuster." Page features Superman in 15 of the 19 panels, showing Superman outrunning rushing flood from burst dam to warn townsfolk below, then digging giant hole to divert water. Other comics mentioned above are also represented by comic strips. Pages are loose along binding at right, w/uneven edges. Horizontal fold at center as issued. Pages are lightly aged w/slightly darker margins. Fine/VF overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 50 years.
