Item Description
6.25x20.75" thin artboard w/India ink original art by "Blondie" creator Chic Young. Art is for Aug. 16, 1940 and features six panels, w/Daisy the dog being followed by a cat, whom she attempts to scare away, only for the cat to chase her home. Alexander opens the door, letting both in, shouting "Mama, Look What Daisy Brought Home" to Blondie (who is not seen), much to Daisy's obvious disgust. Young has signed last panel, which has King Features Syndicate copyright strip. Back has "Who Afraid Of The Big, Bad Woof?" title in blue grease pencil. Front's margins has some scattered soiling as does first and second panels. Last panel had shading accents, which has loosened and fallen off over the years, leaving glue residue behind. Fine/VF.
