Item Description

13-1/8x14.5" artboard has pen and ink original art w/inkwash accenting. Single panel cartoon dates to early in Carl Anderson's "Henry" run in "The Saturday Evening Post." 1932-1934. Art features Henry charging neighborhood boys a penny to fish through window in well-stocked aquarium. Crudely made sign reads "Fishin Lisenz - 1 Sent Kash." "Henry" creator Anderson has signed at lower right. Artboard is evenly aged w/tiny nick out of upper right margin and some scattered age spotting. mainly to boys' faces. Fine overall.
