Item Description
One of many versions, this is 1930 "Exhibition Set" No. 2006 (as noted on lid). 13-3/8x20.5x1.75" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid featuring graphics of child magician w/wand pointing to table w/several magic tricks, including top hat w/white rabbit. Front of tablecloth has image of winged devil w/"Mysto" name. A.C. Gilbert, 1930. Lid shows obvious wear w/glue repairs to all edges/corners w/cardboard reinforcement added at one inner corner. Box bottom also shows wear. VG. Set appears complete and comes w/"Book Of Instructions - Gilbert Mysto Magic" no. 1 and 2 and paper poster for promoting your own magic show. Manuals show some aging and poster has small tear at top but is o/w unused. All are Fine/VF overall. Die-cut insert containing several magic tricks as well as two illustrated envelopes w/trick names - "Phantom Card Trick" and "The Great Buddha Money Mystery." Second envelope has some scattered insect damage at edges. Set also comes w/metal-tipped wooden magic wand. Magic trick contents appear unused and aside from some scattered dust soiling, are VF/Exc.
