Item Description
One of many versions, this is 1930 "Exhibition Set" No. 2005 (as noted on lid). 10x18x1.25" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid featuring graphics of child magician w/wand pointing to table w/several magic tricks, including top hat w/white rabbit. Front of tablecloth has image of winged devil w/"Mysto" name. A.C. Gilbert, 1930. Lid has corners repairs w/tape repairs to interior w/some color touch-ups and box bottom has two corner splits. VG. Set appears complete and comes w/"Book Of Instructions - Gilbert Mysto Magic" no. 1 and 2 and die-cut insert containing various magic tricks as well as three illustrated envelopes w/trick names - "Phantom Card Trick, Pick-It-Out Card Trick, Mysto Jacks Card Trick." Set also comes w/metal-tipped wooden magic wand. Instruction books have some scattered handling wear/aging. Book 1 is VG while Book 2 is Fine. Magic trick contents appear unused and aside from some scattered dust soiling, are VF/Exc. Nicely designed set. Barry Lutsky Collection.
