Item Description
Extensive lot consisting of original hand-lettered "Horde" headline, marker layout w/Arminski's hand-cut border w/hand-lettered text and original art on onionskin overlay, color pencil "Approval" layout and two original silk-screened posters; one being a test proof print (featuring different colors). 9-1/8x17" sheet of vellum has hand-lettered and inked "Horde" title w/mat. Sheet has some lt. handling wear but is VF/Exc. overall and has been signed by Arminski. 14.5x22.5" thin artboard has hand-cut Rubylith border and has attached onionskin overlay w/black felt tip pen original art preliminary design w/marker coloring to title and Earth design at bottom. Overlay has extensive inked notations by Arminski. Overlay shows moderate wear and is Fine overall. Another sheet features photocopy of poster design w/colored pencil coloring and some additional lead penciling. Sheet has some additional pencil text as well as Arminski's extensive production annotations at bottom. Sheet has some handling wear and is VF overall. Last two items are 16.25x26.25" silk-screened posters for festival that featured Blues Traveler, Lenny Kravitz, Dave Matthews Band, Neil Young and others. One is marked "Test Proof" in Arminski's hand at bottom and features different colors from final poster as well as having design of "Earth Exploration Forces" in steampunk spacecraft flying high above Earth flipped onto bottom half of poster. Both this and final poster have been signed by Arminski at bottom in blue felt tip pen and are NM. Mark Arminski Archives and comes w/COA. Winning bidder purchases artwork only. The artist, Mark L. Arminski, retains all and total reproduction rights.
