Item Description
13x20.25" artboard has applied photostat image of Jimi Hendrix at center w/ink spatter at top and surrounded by Arminski's hand-cut border design. Artboard has series of four printer's acetate overlay sheets w/Rubylith and shading accents as well as partial Hendrix photostat. Main board has been signed at bottom in black felt tip pen by Arminski and has paste-overs noting "PCL #140 - Art By Mark Arminski - Jimi Hendrix Name And Likeness © The Hendrix Estate - Poster Design ©1996 Artrock - Printed In The USA." This poster was created as a retro look back at Hendrix's Dec. 31, 1969 concert that took place at the Fillmore East in New York City, NY. Artboard has some corner tip wear/aging but is VF/Exc. overall. Comes w/color key sheet, a paper sheet w/top left clipped has series of eight color separations (and single digital print-out for yellow color), each on acetate, measuring 8.5x11" w/Arminski's annotated color notes at top/bottom and signed by him below separations. Sheet has moderate handling wear and is VG/Fine overall w/aged separations displays VF. Also comes w/15-3/8x21" high quality silk-screened poster proof that has been signed by Arminski at lower right in pencil, w/Arminski adding "Proof" notation. Proof has some handling wear w/corner bumps and is VF overall. This is one of the few proofs for this poster that exist. Stunning and vibrant poster design, the hallmark of Arminski.
