Item Description
6-5/8x10-1/8" bw stat that has been hand-colored by renowned EC Comics colorist Marie Severin to help the production staff w/color separations for these issues of "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the late 1960s and 1970s. Offered here is cover color guide for issue #83 (published by Marvel Comics in April 1970) featuring art by John Romita. Title and promotional text starburst paste-overs at top. "The Coming Of The... The Schemer!" subtitle has first part of text altered from published cover. Various scattered production notations across stat, but nicely hand-colored and stat displays Exc. w/bright, vivid colors. Bottom bears vintage blue ink signature of Marvel legend and Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee. Comes with Hake's COA.
