Pair of artboard w/mixed media original art by A.J. Rudisill for main box lid art for two 1960s Pyro Plastics model kits (see #2337 for Rudisill bio). 20x27-7/8" artboard has art for Pyro model kit No. B374-400, depicting a Gulf Star Tuna Clipper fishing boat. Art shows side-view of ship (marked "Gulf Star" twice on side and flying American flag). No bkg. was featured on model kit box. Art area measures 13.5x20.5". Corner tip wear w/creasing at upper left/lower right. Margin has lt. pencil border and artboard has some scattered color rubs, none affecting art. 20x27.75" artboard has art for Pyro model kit No. B207-400, depicting Standard Oil Sea Going Diesel Tug Boat, w/large Standard "S" on smokestack and flying American flag. Cabin has "Despatch N. 9" placard. Art shows side-view of the ship, as no bkg. was featured on the model kit box. Art area measures 11x19.75". Corner tip wear w/creasing at upper left/lower right. Margins have some tape/tape residue/tape staining, none of which affect art. Both would look Exc. if matted and framed.
