Item Description
Lot of two. First is 6" overall. 1908 "Delegate" badge with pair of 1.75" celluloids joined by flag ribbon and with brass chain at top. Second is 2.75" bronze luster badge for 1914 DC convention. Lower piece shows "Caribbean Sea" and "Pacific Ocean" surrounding "Panama" land area with large arrow design reading "Panama Canal" cutting across the land. Both essentially Mint. From the collection of Leroy T. Vernon, a campaign manager for Taft and later Washington D.C. reporter for the Chicago Daily News.
