Item Description
This 1930s ring was originally high quality brass with an adjustable band. The previous owner had it plated in 18K gold and the result is a golden metallic finish, actually reflective like a mirror. Ring top has high relief lion’s head with exacting details. In his open mouth is an inset emerald green faceted stone. The ring is also known with a ruby red stone. The design is similar to the 1935 Clyde Beatty ring from Quaker Wheat Crackles; however, that ring did not have a jewel accent and the configuration of the lion’s mane is distinctly different. Likely the ring we are offering came the novelty firm Johnson & Smith but of much superior quality compared to their typical novelty rings. Outstanding appearance with Mint 18K gold finish.
