Item Description
11.5x24.25" frame contains thin artboard w/original India ink art w/screen-tone shading accents that has been matted to 6.25x19". Strip features four panels depicting Donald Duck golfing (see Donald Duck Zaccagnini figurines #1844-1846). Art shows Donald missing his putt, only to resort to using his putter as a pool cue to sink his shot. Art is dated Sept. 19 w/"©1960 Walt Disney Productions" copyright paste-over strip in second panel w/"King Features Syndicate" paste-over strip in last panel. Screen-tone shading accents have tanned w/age as is typical, o/w art is Exc. A superb example by fan favorite Al Taliaferro who was the "Donald Duck" daily strip artist from its inception in 1938 until his death in 1969. In addition to Taliaferro's facsimile "Walt Disney" signature, strip has also been signed by legendary Donald Duck artist Carl Barks in black felt tip pen. Professionally matted and framed, ready for display.
