Item Description
Lot of 10 thin artboards featuring original art, dating to late 1960s and early 1970s. Artboards have each been double-matted, typically measuring between 9x22" and 10x22.5". Years and dates are as follows - 1971 (Jan. 9, Dec. 6); 1974 (Oct. 29-31, Nov. 1, Nov. 7), 1975 (Oct. 15, Oct. 21, Dec. 3). All but one strip features Donald. Three strips feature Daisy Duck and three feature Uncle Scrooge. Other characters of note include - Ludwig Von Drake (in strip w/o Donald) and one of Donald's nephews. Themes include - getting caught for illegal fishing by park ranger, golf, paying for Scrooge's doughnut, helping Nephew w/homework, getting held-up by robber w/Daisy, and getting in three different fights w/Daisy over something he said. All strips have four panels w/Walt Disney Productions copyright and King Features Syndicate paste-over strips. Applied screen tone shading accents have tanned as typical over the years. Art is VF/Exc.
