11-1/8x17" artboard has pen and ink (with some blue pencil art visible on Silver Surfer's face) original art by Tom Grindberg for cover to Silver Surfer Vol. 3 #102, published by Marvel Comics March 1995. "A Meeting With... Galactus" cover shows Silver Surfer being blasted from his board by Galactus, who appears in background and is clearly none too happy with his former herald.

"When it comes to '90s Silver Surfer covers, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better example than Tom Gindberg's cover for Silver Surfer #102," opined Hake's Senior Consignment Manager Mike Bollinger. "The Surfer, Galactus and plenty of action, it doesn't get much better than this!"

Artboard features one large image and comes with acetate overlay, which has pasted stats for title/logo, "A Meeting With... Galactus" cover blurb and publishing indicia in correct places. Issue number at upper right has been covered, despite being published in place. Bottom margin of artboard has inked title and issue number as well as month of publication in blue pencil. Grindberg's name has also been inked at bottom along with his signature and "'97" date. Grindberg also signed his name on the Surfer's board as published with "'94" date. Artboard has some residue from tape along top margin on front and back as overlay was once attached (now separate) and overlay has thin strip of tape along bottom left. Art remains clean and Exc. Comes with FPO (for position only) sheet showing how the stats would be arranged on the overlay. Comes w/multi-signed reading copy of the comic this art was produced for, signed on cover in silver paint pen (very fitting) by Grinberg and on first page by issue's inker Bill Anderson.
