Fanboy was a six-issue limited-series published by DC Comics March-Aug. 1999. The title saw the titular "Fanboy" (aka Finster Fanboy) interact w/various DC superheroes. Each cover featured Fanboy depicted by his creator, Sergio Aragonés w/the "sidekick" hero being rendered by a comic artist associated w/that character. Offered here is the original Fanboy art by Aragonés for the final issue (#6), published Aug. 1999. That cover featured Fanboy alongside Wonder Woman, who was drawn by Brian Bolland. 11x17" artboard has pen and ink original art by Aragonés, showing Fanboy (who wears Wonder Woman shirt) sheepishly sitting on Wonder Woman's lap. Aragonés has provided partial blue pencil illustration of Wonder Woman reacting w/disgust to the situation. This art was then sent to Bolland to finish, as noted by personal handwritten note to Bolland at top right margin acknowledging "Great Working With You" and giving instruction for his signature to be placed below Bolland's own. Additional inscription to Bolland at lower right w/Aragonés self portrait sketch and "S.Diego 03" notation. Exc. Great insight into the creative process for this whimsical title.
