11.25x17" DC Comics Sparta artboard has pencil original art by Kurt Schaffenberger (1920-2002) w/inks by Bob Smith for cover to Super Friends #44, published by DC Comics May 1981. Cover features Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Robin each battling monsters with their heads. Inset "Bonus Features: Jack O'Lantern In 'Death-Cry Of The Banshee!'" panel at bottom shows the Irish character with a magic lantern who was created for the Super Friends comic series. Title/logo, publishing indicia and all text captions are pasted stats. Top margin has inked title, issue number and month of publication. Margins show scattered production notations in blue pencil and black ink. Art has been signed by Schaffenberger at lower left, below Jack O'Lantern text stat. Back has faint DC Comics copyright inkstamp and printer job inkstamp with inked details. Lower left has strip of glue staining from missing credits stat strip that listed lasts names of Schaffenberger and Smith.
