8.5x12.75" Duo-Shade artboard has pen and ink original art with inkwash accents by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5, published by Mirage Studios in 1985. Page 10 is from Eastman and Laird's "Teaming Up With Fugitoid" story (which takes place after the events of Fugitoid #1) and features five panels, showing the Fugitoid introducing himself as (Professor) Honeycutt to the Ninja Turtles, who have been unknowingly teleported from Earth by the Utroms' "Translocation Device" to the alien planet of D'Hoonnib. Having made their escape from Federation troopers hunting the Fugitoid, the Turtles introduce themselves in fourth panel; all four Turtles shown with Fugitoid. Last panel is half-page splash, showing Leonardo recounting their earlier adventures, with scenes showing Master Splinter being held in a T.C.R.I. lab, a menacing Utrom in its robotic exoskeleton and all four Turtles being transported to D'Hoonnib flanking him at left and right.

"Whenever Eastman and Laird TMNT art from the Mirage years turns up for sale, it generates massive interest amongst comic art collectors and Turtles fans alike," stated Hake's Senior Consignment Manager Mike Bollinger. "That interest amplifies even more when the art comes from an early Mirage issue like that being presented here."

All four Turtles appear together in two panels while Leonardo and Raphael each appear by themselves in one panel. All word balloons have been hand-lettered with a couple spots of white correctional fluid touch-ups. Bottom margin has been signed in blue ink by Eastman (who adds "Best Always!" inscription) and Laird. This stunning original art was obtained directly from Eastman and Laird shortly after publication of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5.

Back of artboard has two pieces of white tape along top margin, but this does not affect front's display. Artboard has typical even aging common to these Duo-Shade boards, but otherwise art remains clean and Exc.
