11x16-1/8" artboard has pencil original art by Gene Colan (1926-2011) w/inks by Bob Smith for Detective Comics #555, published by DC Comics Oct. 1985. Page is from Doug Moench's "Returning Reflections" Batman story and features five panels, showing Batman and Robin (Jason Todd) battling Flash villains Captain Boomerang and Mirror Master. Story page 14. Robin appears in two panels; Batman appears in last two panels. Captain Boomerang, having been released from mirror he was trapped in, has speech bubble (a pasted stat) printed in negative as he emerged. One of Captain Boomerang's boomerangs breaks fourth wall between fourth and fifth panels. All other word balloons have been hand-lettered. Top margin has stamped/penciled "Detective" title and handwritten issue/page numbers in pencil/ink. Bottom margin has been signed in black ink by Colan. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. Top margin has been unevenly trimmed and upper left and both bottom corners have been clipped. Some lt. margin dust soiling, but o/w art remains clean and Exc. Lawrence Klein Collection.

We ship in the order paid—first in, first out. Thus, we begin charging orders as instructed by customers immediately following the close of the auction and continue to fill orders as they are paid.
