10.75x16" artboard pair has pencil original art by Ed Hannigan w/inks by Klaus Janson for Defenders #58, published by Marvel Comics April 1978. Janson only inked pages 1-3. Double page spread title pages 2/3 are from David Anthony Kraft's "Xenogenesis Day Of The Demons Part 1 Agents Of Fortune" storyline and features eight panels, showing the Sanctum Sanctorum, Wong, Dr. Strange and villain Agent of Fortune who is there to steal the Eye of Agamotto. Page 2 has the very first image of the character Agent of Fortune. Top margin has been signed in black ink by Janson on both pages. Backs have Marvel Comics copyright inkstamps. Trimmed margins and two clipped corners. Credit panel is cut-in that is taped on back. Small spots of white correctional fluid used. Aged tape at top and bottom of both pages. Spread has two smaller pieces of artboard pasted on backs at seam as well as aged masking tape on seam, all of which is partially separated from age but still holding spread together as folded. Lt. handling wear, but o/w art remains clean and Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the comic this art was produced for that has been signed by Hannigan and Janson on the interior pages.
