Pair of DC Comics/Vertigo/WildStorm artboards have been attached at center w/masking tape on back for overall size of 16-5/8x21". Right margin of left artboard and left margin of right artboard have been trimmed. Artboards features pencil original art by Darryl Banks w/inks by Paul Neary (w/white paint star accents) for story pages 18-19 for JLA/The Spectre: Soul War #2, published by DC Comics Feb. 2003. Double page spread features one immense splash panel, showing a chaotic cosmos, reality changed by The Trans, an alien species invading Earth. Earth is seen at lower left and The Spectre stands tall over a Green Lantern construct platform, upon which stand JLA members Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Flash (Wally West), Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. All word balloons have been hand-lettered. Top margins have inked title, issue/pages numbers and top of right artboard has been signed by Banks in black felt tip pen, adding "'03" date. Back of each artboard has DC Comics copyright inkstamp and inked numbers. Art remains clean and Exc. Great example of original art from this two-issue series.
