11.25x16.5" artboard has pencil original art by Chris Warner w/inks by Mike DeCarlo for Batman #408, published by DC Comics June 1987. Page is from Max Allan Collin's "Did Robin Die Tonight?" storyline and features five panels, showing Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Robin (Dick Grayson) after battling the Joker. Story page 7. Batman is talking to a recuperating Robin and telling him it's time for Robin to stay "dead." One pansl shows Batman punching the Penguin. Second panel shows a timeline foreshadowing of Dick as Nightwing. This issue features the introduction of the post-Crisis Jason Todd. Final appearance of Dick Grayson as Robin. All word balloons are paste-up stats. Bottom margin has been signed in black ink by Warner and DeCarlo. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. Top margin has been unevenly trimmed. Lt. aging/handling wear. Some lt. margin dust soiling, but o/w art remains clean and Exc. Lawrence Klein Collection.

We ship in the order paid—first in, first out. Thus, we begin charging orders as instructed by customers immediately following the close of the auction and continue to fill orders as they are paid.
