Item Description
Pair of animation sheets w/original lead pencil and lead pencil w/red pencil production/publicity art for two different Disney "Silly Symphonies" animated shorts. First sheet measures 9.5x12" and has 3-3/8x3-/8" full body image of Mother Goose and 1.5x2-1/8" image of her goose from 1931's "Mother Goose Melodies." "727" penciled number at lower right and tiny coloring notation by Goose. Sheet has some even lt. aging and handling wear w/9.5" diagonal crease at upper right, not affecting art. Sheet is Fine overall w/Exc. art. Second sheet measures 10x12" and has 5x7.75" diagonal image area. Art by Manuel Gonzalez is for 1937 Silly Symphonies "Woodland Café" animated short which featured a nightclub staffed and frequented by insects. Art depicts Apache dance scene w/tough-looking spider w/cigarette pulling female firefly onto dance floor. Sheet has lt. aging/handling wear w/lt. horizontal crease through center, but art area remains Exc. Great scene.
