Item Description
9.5x14" artboard w/original mixed media preliminary art for one-sheet poster for the 1955 Columbia Jungle Jim film starring Johnny Weissmuller. Art by Glenn Cravath (1897-1964) who provided the the art for the movie posters for "King Kong" and Columbia serials including "Batman And Robin." Art has large Weissmuller name, film title and co-star names and features design that is very similar to final poster design, showing little change. Borders have clear tape which has aged. Top margin has "One Sheet" notation and "Cravath" signature. Fine overall, but would display nicely if framed.
