Item Description
Lot of four items related to this short-lived family dining establishment that was announced for a small number of California locations in 1969 to compete w/the Roy Rogers restaurants that opened in 1968. The Lone Ranger chain would close less than a year later. Of note, on weekends Lone Ranger actor Clayton Moore would make personal appearances at the restaurants, sometimes handing out promotional silver bullet keychains. Lot includes two vintage 8x10" glossy publicity photos, one w/attached typed caption sheet and showing Clayton Moore as the Lone Ranger posing w/restaurant sign while the other shows him standing w/businessmen involved w/the restaurant venture, Silver seen in bkg. Scattered lt. handling wear, second photo has aged slightly. VF overall. Lot also includes 1.5" dia. tin litho tab w/"The Lone Ranger - The Good Food Guy" image. Tab remains unused w/o bend. Trace wear but glossy and VF/Exc. overall. Comes w/bagged "Lone Ranger" silver bullet keychain. Card has some tape staining but keychain remains sealed as issued w/trace aging. Packaging is Fine while contents are Exc. Photos are rare, these are the only examples we've seen in our 48 years.
