Item Description
17x22". A remarkable poster referencing all of the major players in the events around the attempted bargaining melee associated with the Soledad Brothers. While all are mentioned top billing goes to Ruchell Magee the only survivor of the courthouse kidnapping of four people in an attempt to make a trade for the freedom of the Soledad Brothers Aug 7, 1970 at the Marion County Courthouse. At bottom poster concludes "Ruchell Magee Is Struggling For His Human Rights, For The Rights Of The Oppressed People And We Must Support Him In His Struggle. Free Ruchell! Free Angela! Free All Political Prisoners!". Folded into fourths with toning present on the upper half of the poster most noticeable at the top and left edges of the upper left quadrant. Good/VG. Printed on stock slightly thicker than newsprint by "Movement Labor England Free Press". First we have seen. Rare. Milo Pyne Collection.
