Item Description
4-3/8x7.25" thin artboard w/6" tall ink cartoon image of shaggy, disgruntled man w/"I'm A Communist And I Hate Feiffer. Which Side Are You On?" text. Right side edge has "The Hall Syndicate Inc." copyright pasteover. From a series of c. 1961 cartoons in the "New York Village Voice," syndicated as "Sick, Sick, Sick" and "Feiffer's Fables." Left and right side margin edges each have .25x1.5" bit of missing surface paper and lt. staining from removal of tape. This does not affect text or image. Trace of lt. dust soiling but overall Fine/VF. Feiffer began his career as an assistant to Will Eisner on "The Spirit" in the late 1940s and became one of the top cartoonists of our time, specializing in topical issues from politics to family life, winning a Pulitzer in 1986.
