Item Description
Pair of 9x12" programs for the 1948 World Series, which matched the Cleveland Indians against the Boston Braves. The Indians won the Series in six games to capture their second championship and their first since 1920 (as well as their last to the present date). First program is for game at Boston stadium and features images of Braves Manager Billy Southworth and Indian Manager (and HOF member) Lou Boudreau, who has signed below his facsimile signature in blue felt tip pen. Program has handling wear w/pinch creases to spine. Interior scoring sections remain unused. Fine overall, but signature remains bold and displays Exc. Second program is for Cleveland stadium and features totem pole design w/Chief Wahoo. Program has handling wear w/scattered cover creases and pinch creases to spine. Interior scoring sections remain unused. Fine. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
