Item Description
13x20x6" deep illustrated cardboard box contains battery-operated hard plastic toy by Remco, c. early 1960s. Bottom of box has illustrated instructions. Box shows lt. wear and has even moderate aging but still has a bright appearance and is tight. Fine. Toy is very nicely designed as a rocket test center and has translucent dome over rocket launcher unit. Toy comes w/three different three-stage rockets which are "Thor, Titan" and "Atlas." Complete w/three small satellites. Each rocket has accent stickers w/names and these show some scattered wear. Front of unit is designed w/storage area for rockets/satellites and has paper label picturing all of these w/names. Same paper label appears on each side. At front left is foil sticker w/simulated dials plus rocket countdown indicator and on top is a manually controlled siren unit w/crank handle. The unit is also detailed w/"Project Yankee Doodle" sign and a "Danger Keep Clear" sign on the front of the launching unit. All functions work. The sky dome opens and rocket launcher extends into the air. The countdown then starts and rockets are fired. Aside from the wear to the rocket stickers, toy has just very lt. trace of wear and aging but no notable defects. VF.
