8.5x11" typed letter dated July 4, 1941 and addressed to J.S. Liebowitz (owner of Detective Comics, Inc.) details current work being done on Robotman, including a cover sent to Whit (likely Whitney Ellsworth), and requesting a page rate of $25. Letter also mentions "Production On Superman Sundays Is Four A Week, Two Superman Scripts Enclosed." Letter has been signed in ink by Siegel. Two lt. horizontal folds as mailed, lt. aging. Top margin has paper clip impression. Will frame to Fine/VF appearance. Historic letter regarding a new character Siegel hoped would be as popular as Superman. Robotman debuted in "Star Spangled Comics" #7 (April, 1942) and ran for several years. Comes with Hake's COA.
